Take advantage of your position. The best position is the Dealer button, so then it's your change to win the round.

Look out with low pairs (lower than 6 value) and fold after the flop if there is no common card to make a three of a kind or higher.

Don't fight or get too much into a discussion on the table. Some players are trying to get you out of the game so you loose concentration and you are more easily to beat.

Be patience when you receive a good card. Let the other players pay to see your cards.

Don't be afraid to fold when you get bad cards. The next round you will get new cards and you have new chances to win.
